Acknowledgments

So, how do I begin? I settled on a note of gratitude.

More than two weeks ago, I was on a 5-day vacation to my native village and I sorely missed my companion. I had felt disempowered in many respects until I traveled about 30 km to get in touch with him (or should I say her?) - the World Wide Web (WWW). I needed to plug in to the internet to check handful of stuff - admission decision from an MBA school; couple of IPO oversubscription details; bottom fishing opportunities in stock market; media and entertainment industry updates - among others.

Though I can never thank this WWW phenomenon enough, let me dedicate my first blog post to it! Thank you WWW for the company and empowerment you provide!

On a related note, special thanks are due for some online gems that make my stay in the web worthwhile.
  • Google - The index of the web
  • GMail - The intuitive service that revolutionalized email, notwithstanding its late entry
  • Wikipedia - Testimony to lot of goodwill in the world
  • Google Reader - Mailbox for stuff that excite me
  • YouTube - The visual treat on the net
Interestingly, four out of the five belong to Google. Long live its services!

Blogger may perhaps turn out to be another exciting dimension on the net.

I still have to try out the Reader :), but yes, these are truly the gems of this e-era. I liked the way you termed it as a companion. Quite true actually :).
